This is the view of the most famous Ellora cave number 16. The whole massive temple complex is carved out of a solid hard rock. Interestingly nothing has been added to create the masterpiece, it is just the removal of 200,000 tonnes of chiseled rock chips to give shape to the intricate facade and breathtaking three dimensional images of gods.The construction of this cave was a feat of human genius and it took almost 100 years to complete.
